LABORATORIES

 


Aeronautical laboratory is intended to train students in experimenting and visualizing the principles of flight and computation of aerodynamic forces and coefficients generated during flight. The laboratory is equipped with one subsonic wind tunnel along with different types of measuring instruments. Aircraft and aircraft parts models are available in the laboratory to investigate their aerodynamic characteristics in the given wind tunnel.

Aircraft workshop:-in this workshop students besides learning aircraft system details and construction and design features, they spend a considerable amount of time in performing disassembly, inspection and assembly of aircraft parts and systems including removal and installation of engine from and to the aircraft under close supervision of technical staff. The work shop is equipped with different types of aircraft and helicopter system mock-ups, aircraft aggregates and one live Mig 21 aircraft for performing scheduled maintenance activities and engine run up.

Visual Studio Lab: Artificial Intelligence and Expert systems, Digital Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Multimedia Systems, CAD for VLSI, Fundamentals of VLSI Design, Microelectronics and Human-Computer Interaction.

Database Lab: Web Technologies, Web Based Enterprise Application Development, Rapid Application Development, Database Management Systems, and Advanced Database Management Systems.

This Laboratory is dedicated to the advanced Electronic Instrumentation System courses and equipped with standard signal generators, audio, spectrum, and logic analyzers.This laboratory caters for the practical training of students in the nature of EMI/EMC and sources of EMI.This is dedicated to an automatic control system related experiments and comprises Temperature Process Control trainer, Simulations on different transducers using PS-2160 module, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) using PS-2800 module.

This laboratory caters for the practical training of students in Analog & Digital communication systems, Optical Fiber communications, etc. and mainly equipped with Transistorized radio transmission & reception module, PCM switching, GSM-900 based, Cellular Telephone system, Optical Transceiver kit, TV Trainer system, and FAX Trainer system.This is dedicated to an automatic control system related experiments and comprises Temperature Process Control trainer, Simulations on different transducers using PS-2160 module, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) using PS-2800 module.


It is imperative and indeed a demand to look ahead for the department curriculum to meet the present and future needs of the country in field of electrical engineering.The teaching and learning process is supported by fully equipped laboratories. They are: Power system and Protection Lab,Transformers and DC Machines Lab,Rotating AC Machines Lab,Power Electronics and Drives Lab,Steam Power Plant Lab,Digital Electronics Lab,Microcomputer Lab,Computer Simulation Lab
