The Information Communication Technology service (ICTS) department has been reestablished in Jan 15 2006 to bring up the college to the modern information communication technology to promote universal access to the Internet and the utilization of ICT that could enable the college to effectively discharge its responsibility. The department consists of the following functional units in its organizational structure.

1. Network management and software development section
2. Computer hardware, software and accessories maintenance section
3. Multimedia authoring and communication section
4. Electrical/ Electronics maintenance section

Besides these, it also includes Telephone exchange, printing with binding and audiovisual service units. Therefore the manual and non-integrated system used at the present time, referred to, as “Island of information” is to be replaced with cooperative integrated organization system that can easily support information sharing.

 


Objectives the ICT Department


To ensure self-reliance of the college in all ICT related services so as to minimize the huge amount of expense that might be spent to purchase the service.
To provide modern IT service to support the teaching learning and research process
To develop potential capacity in relation to ICT skilled manpower
Provide more timely information and offering consultancy service to our Defence industries
