Department Goals

  • To Achieve national recognition for excellence in undergraduate education in the fields of Electrical Power Engineering
  • To develop a national reputation for research excellence
  • To train students with the breadth and depth of knowledge and intellectual and professional skills those prepare them for a productive life in the challenging Defence environment
  • To provide support for faculty and staff development
  • To increase the physical infrastructure as needed to support the educational, research and service activities
  • To make our Defence reliant on its electrical power engineers in the conduct of current military operations while positioning the Defence for the successful conduct of future operations

Degree Nomenclature

 All graduate degrees in Electrical Power Engineering Fields of Studies are recognized by and awarded through the Defense Engineering College as:

  • “Bachelor of Technology Degree (B-Tech) in Electrical Power Engineering with Specialization in Power System and Drives”
  • “Bachelor of Technology Degree (B-Tech) in Electrical Power Engineering with Specialization in  Control and Automation”
